Another pissed consumer

I just recieved a second dell refurbished computer from Joy systems. The first one was faulty from day one and I went thru *** getting it returned to them and replaced!!! I just recieved a replacement one today and it is faulty straight out of the box too!!! It was not formatted, the memory was full and several other problems. It even had "chad's favorites" on it still!!!! My Internet carrier said it would cost me $79.99 to reformat and fix it" It also had no default mail client installed on it. What are you going to do about this??!!

Fraudulent Merchanside From Joy Systems - BEWARE

I purchase a computer from Walmart and after two weeks the computer stopped working so they sent me to Joy Systems to work with them and get it replaced. They sent me 4 CPUs that were all defective. For one year I have been trying to get a computer from this company that works and after a year no avail. Then they have the audacity to tell me it is now out of the warranty and they cannot do anything. Are you kidding me? Joy Systems shipped out 4 CPUs that never worked and they are scamming customers! Don't purchase any electronics from them or Walmart! They don't care about customers and will scam you out of your hard earned money!

Customer Service Is the WORST

My company purchased some refurbished laptops and out of the 10, 5 were not Grade A as advertised, 3 weren't refurbished at all and 2 were DOA. Since they don't answer emails or the phone in a timely manner, it took over a week to get approval to return the 2 DOA and the 3 non-refurbished units. As for the other 5 units, it took 3 weeks to get batteries replaced since the units came with bad ones, it took another week to get a 1 replacement keyboard and to top it off out of the 10 received, all of them had the wrong ac adapter! That was another sent of emails and another case that took 2 full moths to resolve. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Just bought the computer and have had for 5 days maybe. Over 200 updates needed, pc constantly is shutting down. Lucky if I can use it for 20 minutes or so before shut down. First thing this morning I try to contact Joy Systems and I am the 23rd customer on hold...just wonderful, exactly what you want to do with a brand new purchase. This really sucks...I would NOT do again. On their site you register and gee email link contact does not work nor does the customer sales link work. Surprise and Merry Christmas to me. Now what to do? Bought extended warranty, is that a nonobtainable service as well?

Received computer and attempted to activate windows 7 product key as instructions advised. Got message, "This product key is invalid." Called Microsoft for help and was told that the product key I was given is for windows 7 home premium and my computer is windows 7 professional. Great. What business makes this kind of careless mistake? Scam I'm sure but of course they're closed. Just gotta sit here and wait to see if this will be rectified. Purchase with caution!

DONT BUY FROM WALMART Sent me a BAD computer. 2 weeks and no help.

Well it has been a week since I sent the hard drive and I havent seen any email with a tracking # or the hard drive. Are you people that represent Walmart really that hard up that you have to wait until the piece of junk hard drive is IN YOUR HANDS before you send my the replacement? Do you think I am going to steal a junk hard drive from you or something? The new hard drive SHOULD HAVE been here last week. If I have to wait until next week to see a new drive, Doug McMillon will be contacted about your speedy and wonderful service and someones head is gonna roll. I am tired of all the *** I have had to go through to get this "great deal" of a computer running! .WHERE IS MY HARD DRIVE?????? EVERYONE BEWARE!!!!!

I bought a Dell Precision m4600 refurbished by Joy. After two weeks, it I realized it had a weak battery. If I tried to use it on battery power only, it did not last but a very little while. Contacted Joy, and received a new battery three days later! No problems and quick response from both Thomas Kobal and Dan Williams in Tech Support. Many thanks, guys, the new battery is working at 100% and I am enjoying this laptop.

I am a snowbird in Florida..the above computer was purchased at Walmart #994 in New Port Richey and picked up in store order # 267797*-100965 on 2/03/14...I have used it less than 9 months and only when coming to Florida..it was refurbished by Joy Systems...spoke to their tech, "Basil" as computer quit saying "non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key"...he could not help and said it was out of warranty and suggested that I need to replace the hard drive...I would like you to consider helping me by asking Joy to fix my computer or issuing me a credit so I can afford to purchase another desktop PC. I have original receipt for $267.71.....

I just bought a laptop for my daughter from Staples but it is refurb and the battery came in bad. Verified by taking to Staples and one of the tech confirmed it.

They told me to contact joysystems and I tried called and emailed with no response after two days. I have two week to return it through Staples. Called again after two day and the rep said they would replace the battery and Fedex would pick up the battery and they would send another and after staying home all day guess what Fedex didn't show.

If this is how joysystem handles a customer before they even have a real problem then I don't want to wait to see how that goes. Send the dame thing back

BOUGHT THE SAME COMPUTER ONLINE AND ONE MONTH LATER THE HARD DRIVE WENT OUT SENT TO JOY SERVICES AND THEY FIXXED IT OR SEND ME A SIMULAR.. NOW MONTH LATER IT WILL NOT COME ON.

or used on ebay for $30

New hard drives usually last 5 years.

I purchased a HP desktop from Staples.com. It came quickly in working condition and it met/exceeded all of my expectations for a 250 dollar computer. After a month or so the hard drive went bad. I called HP tech support and after 45 minutes of annoyance, I was told I would have to pay 160.00 for new hard drive and labor! Was not gonna happen. I brought it to local Staples and they tested and found bad hard drive and washed their hands with situation referring me to Joy. Emailed Joy and had reply next day with instructions on sending them serial number. Done, and within couple days of shipping back to Joy, at their expense, my unit arrived couple days later and is perfect. I did not expect this kind of customer service and am very pleased. I would recommend in the future.

Purchase refurbish computer from Walmart. And cd/dvd/rewritable it unit doesnt detect anykind of media. That means whenever I decide to hear a cd, look at a movie, download software, and currently in worst dilemma, recover my operating system with a recovery cd, I cant. I bought a computer that clearly never had a full functional cd/dvd disk player. I thought I could fix by undating driver, troubleshooting the darn thing, to no avail. At the end of the day, I got a computer that doesnt work, and couldnt if it had what it was suppose to have, what all computer need. Why had a cd/dbd disk if it doesnt? And doesnt the manufacturing test things thangs before they sale them, that should be procedure.

It is a quality product. I would not hesitate to buy from this compamy again. You want more words so I must babble. I am impressed with how good this thing works. It is just perfect. I am not a pissed consumer. I have switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and everything is great. It is better than I expected. Joy Systems really did a great job on the computer. The only problem I had was with the keyboard. It did not work. I blame it on Wallmart who I bought it from. I bought a new keyboard at Best Buy for $9.99. It works great.

anonymous - horrible exzpwerience even though purchased thru BEST BUY ONLINE GUARANTEE- right away saw never had webcam nor wi fi so i called. several people told me that i could return it will all original packaging and invoice & my credit card. I went 3 days after i came to our house, but BRIAN BEAM at the waterford store ( Manager ) refused to handle it. then i had to spend hours on the phone with supervisors trying to get a UPS return shipping label ( it never showed up in my e-mail box for 2 days and i had to keep calling in to spk to supervisor. Just horendous experience...oh yeah...my DVD/ CD mutimedia player doesn't work either !!! I paid 308$ for a pices of (*&%^*&!
