Tiger Direct Recyle Program

I bought a laptop from Tiger Direct which had $150 MIR for recycling old laptop. I mailed my laptop to JOY SYSTEMS for recycling through USPS priority mail on May 23 2014 and the package was delivered on May 27 2014 at JOYS Somerset NJ address. According to the instructions they were suppose to email me in 2 working days to acknowledge the receipt of laptop. I have been emailing them for past 2 weeks and the customer service tech forwards the email to rebate team with instructions:- "Rebate Team, Please assist the customer with this." Its now 3 weeks since the package have been received and no email so far from rebate team. Calling them is another big headache as the wait time is more than 45 minutes. I can't fulfill the MIR requirement and will loose $150.

Dell refurbished 755 desktop from Walmart online

I purchased a refurbished 755 desktop that is is missing the 6 slot sd card reader, 1TB (I HAVE 931gb not 1024)where are the other 93gb? and no recovery CD/partition, no modem/router slot.

listed in the THANK YOU FOR YOUR PURCHASE! They DO NOT EXIST ON THE PC RECEIVED. I picked it up on Thursday 9/12 and began set up on Saturday,9/14. I called them within 2 hours of setup.

It shut down in the middle of installing different software. It would NOT install Adobe, Nortons 360 and Epson Stylus NX300 printer cant find the server? ICloud had someones name from NY, NY nor Itunes. just to name a few.

I didn't get an answer but a recording to leave a message and note on office hours. it said tech available 24/7 prior to purchase. On Monday no return call. Tuesday no return call and only able to leave a voice mail.

Still no return call! When I purchased it I thought I was buying it from Walmart. I had no idea a 3rd party was involved. I would not have bought it from a company I had no knowledge of and not researched.

the price paid was $269. This pc spontaneously shuts down. freezes up. With the issues I am incurring I do not know what to do!

Am I stuck with a pc of no value added? Paid for a headache? Delta.Delta toolbar refused to be removed from old pc and crashed.

I would have been less expensive to have paid for a new motherboard. Im so frustrated its not even a week old!

"MY WINDOWS 10 NIGHTMARE!"

If you were able to get Windows 10 then you are lucky because I can't get it because I got ripped of by "JOY SYSTEMS" & "WALMART" Basicly, what I found out was that I didn't get what I thought I was getting when I ordered it from "Walmart" it was supposed to be "refurbished" not "rebuilt" (from dinosaur bone equivalent parts) This computer when it was new was way back when XP 1ST came out (yea it's a freakin' dinosaur) any way, I am disabled on a fixed income and can't afford to buy a computer just whenever I decide I want a new one! But any way 2 weeks after I bought it "Windows" announced that "Windows 10" was coming out!

So I was all excited for launch of "Windows 10" so on the 31st I upgraded & I loved it I upgraded because the "Windows 10 App"

said that my computer was compatible! I Loved it! Untill I tryed to go on line! The boom "No Network" At ALL!" come to find out "Windows 10" isn't compatible with my "Network Driver" which is a

"Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gb Controller" so I figured I would go to the Dell website and it stated that it no longer supported anything that has to do with my model computer "Dell Inspiron DCNE" it had quite supporting it when "Vista" came out!

When I ordered it online I figured it was a newer "Dell" because it came with "Windows 7 Pro. 32 bit" so I ordered it knowing it was refurbished I thought maybe someone had just bought it barely used it then brought it back to "Walmart" I didn't know any better it was like less than $100. I thought it was weird when I opened the box & their was a "Floppy Disk" on it!

but I took a second look cause it has like 8 USB drives and a Disk drive! I never tested the Disk Drive tell just yesterday only to find out that it doesn't work "at all" & it has "NO" burner with it!

The GB is correct. Computers never come with what they are stated and this is a known fact around the world. Something to do with a GB equaling 1024 MB but HDD can claim 1000 MB per gig. This is not joy systems fault. I have about 25 refurbished computers from joy systems between my business, my home , and my parents. Never had a real problem, just little stuff. Employees complain they aren't fast enough but for $120 they get the job done quite well.

I should mention that I am very computer savvy. I have built computers for years, mainly gaming ones or for graphic work. That is the only reason I bought a refurbished unit to begin with. Im not sure I would trust anything refurbished unless I knew how to work on it and it was cost efficient to me.

Keep in mind anything electronic will fail eventually. Even the best name brand items will have a dud and fail to work the first time or after only 3 times or whatever. Usually if it works in the first 30 days it will work for a while

Not a good idea to buy a "refurbished" anything. It means someone else had used it and who knows what is really wrong with it.

As for missing gigabytes, always take the total the manufacturer says with a grain of salt. It will vary and your 931 is fine and within normal range.

What you do is buy a new machine, online from Amazon.com or hp.com. Stay away from Dell in any event, as they are a real problem to fix and use proprietary components which are expensive to replace when they break down.

Im way too late for staying away from Dell. Actually this is not the first Dell and didn't have trouble with the other...just no room to upgrade.

worked great though. the others have all been customed made I guess I will fix what I have sooner than I thought and see just what can be done with this messy thing. I have tired of calling them which is what I suspect is the point. tomorrow is another day.

Im not finished complaining...just paused here to complain. Its not over!

Thanks for your input. I have never had anyone complain to me about buying a refurshished pc of any kind. laptop or desktop.

this is new to me. The 1 TB is not a big deal when considering its not a huge difference. I believe in integrity and everyday I see less of it. and how more people seem to take it like "oh well they are always lying" with no fight back in them.

Im not into hopelessness, sometimes helplessness but fight comes back. in this case...its not 6 months down the road.

its not even a week and I cant get a response...oh no its not over... :sigh

As you can see I made this complaint in September 2013 and I still have not had any response whatsoever from Joy Systems!!! The issue with not getting the 1T okay.

Its a little short but not so short I could continue feeling shorted. Without a doubt I will never buy another refurbished anything again! Lesson learned and with the price if I had just waited (didn't think I could at the time) I would have a new one with a warranty perhaps for a little more but NEW!

I would not suggest anyone purchase anything from Joy Systems!

EVER! Their enclosed letter of being 24/7. Is an answering machine that must be in a remote location unmanned or checked by anyone. I cant say terrible customer service because there is NO SERVICE!

Since I purchased it through WalMart I have no recourse with them. does it work yes! does it work well, no! There is something wrong with it.

period. My best IT guy is in Maryland, and willing to repair it. Locally, the "new" pc repair shops are as a result of a tornado. the best ones closed shop, relocated to other states, work for BEST BUY who will not work on mine because "I DIDNT BUY IT THERE?" Oddly they worked on my other 2 before the tornado and neither were purchased there.

Another company to be pissed off about but agh Not now...all because of Joy Systems! Its nothing but aggravation working (oops poor word choice) due to the lack of communication. I truly think they sold it through WalMart because they are the buffer. They will not answer the phone and Walmart could give a flying fickled flip.

Its NOT THEIR product. Please I plead with anyone considering Joy Systems DO NOT DO IT! If the price seems to be right AND it say Joy RUNNN! close your browser, run the anti virus, malware and spyware apps.

Integrity has no relationship.

There is nothing bad about Dell and no more expensive to fix than any other BUT they never breakdown so I highly recommend Dell. I rotate two Dell's at home and usually get 5 plus years out of them while h beats most.

I would avoid buying ANYTHING from Wal-Mart however. They are anti- employee and sell junk!

to date I have never had one response from Joy Systems. That's the first and last time I will buy electronics from Wal-Mart!

not only did it not come with everything advertised now it says no cd/dvd burner installed! Not yet a year old?! no software for uninstalling and install. thus unable to determine if it's been corrupted by something else or just need a new one.

disgusted with the entire experience. while some will say buying refurbished is not wise I have not heard of a company that sells them without customer service. even if they say it's not their fault! btw:running diagnostics on hardware test shows there IS a cd/dvd burner and working properly.

SMH.

if anyone can get a response from Joy System please share the experience. currently I think it's a home business or hobby and they expect complaints.

No customer support .left me hangin with ram in my hand

i called joysystems to get help w/ poor vid. quality the tech. told me to remove my ram he told me how before i got back on the phone the *** hung up i took my computer back to walmart ram inside w/ note telling joysystems to %^^& and die i will never have anything to do with this ripoff co. again all 4 contacts w/ joyjerks has been so screwed up they will RIPP YOU TO MADNESS F-U JOYJERKS I HATE JOYJERKS ONE YAHOO TOLD ME HE HAD TO GO TO A MEETING SO I LET HIM OFF THE HOOK JOYJERKS THINKS PEOPLE ARE *** TO WHATS GOING ON TRUTH IS TECHS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO HELP A MONEY SPENDING CONSUMER ABOUT 10 MIN.
